Oxford ELO Leadership Program Announced for 2023!

ELO is excited to announce that the 4th annual Oxford Leadership Program will take place from August 13th – 19th, 2023, and that the host site is again Christ Church College, one of Oxford’s most famous colleges!

The ELO Leadership Program is a one-week executive education course that brings together Christian marketplace and entrepreneurial leaders from across North America, Europe, and Asia. The focus of the Program is on how to be more effective meaning-driven difference makers in businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations.

The Program provides a dynamic and interactive environment, with learning from world-class instructors and a global and diverse cohort of peers. Dr. Richard J. Goossen, Chair, ELO Network, is the Program coordinator, integrating guest presenters from Oxford and around the world. Each year the Program has a stellar lineup of instructors addressing various aspects of leadership and entrepreneurship.

This past year again featured a world-class roster of presenters: Isabella D. Bunn, Research Fellow in Governance and Global Ethics, Regent's Park College, University of Oxford; Robert Ellis, Senior Research Fellow, Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford; Bill Foo, Chairman, Tung Lok Group, Singapore; Rick Goossen, Chair, ELO Network; Katy Granville-Chapman, Teaching Fellow, Dept of Education, University of Oxford; Manuel Guillen, University of Valencia Representative, RCC-Harvard; John C. Lennox, Professor Emeritus, University of Oxford; Sir Andrew Pollard, Director, Oxford Vaccine Group, University of Oxford; Richard Turnbull, Director, Centre for Enterprise, Markets and Ethics, Oxford; and N.T. (Tom) Wright, Senior Research Fellow, Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford.

In addition to world-class instruction, the ambiance of Oxford is inspiring for Program participants. The 850-year-old university city with its fabled spires and medieval colleges, along with various other attractions, is a place to behold.

Each year’s cohorts are able to participate in site visits throughout the week. This past year the cohort did a site visit to IM Group in Birmingham and met with Andrew Edmiston, Managing Director, and son of the company's founder, Lord Robert Edmiston.

Cohorts also participate in other activities: a choral evensong in the historic Christ Church College Cathedral; a tour of Magdalen College where well-known Christian apologist C.S. Lewis taught and lived; and visits to museums.

The feedback of cohort members is highly positive every year, as it was with the most recent offering.
