INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, USA - The ELO Oxford Leadership Program is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with one of the world’s most innovative Christian universities whereby the ELO Oxford Leadership Program is embedded in its newly launched Executive MBA (EMBA) program!
The IWU DeVoe School of Business, Technology & Leadership has approximately 3,000 online students beyond its traditional on-campus student base. Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), having pioneered online education, is now taking the lead in AI-related EMBA education.
IWU has an exclusive arrangement for the ELO Oxford Leadership Program among U.S. Christian universities. All students enrolled in the EMBA program will automatically be part of the ELO Oxford cohort with the cost embedded in the EMBA program.

IWU EMBA students will be blended into the Oxford cohort along with leaders from around the world. Since inception, the ELO Oxford Leadership Program has attracted stellar cohort members from North America, Asia, Europe and Africa. The cohort is primarily business leaders, complemented by some leaders from the educational and non-profit sectors.
Dr. Richard (Rick) J. Goossen, Founder, ELO Oxford Leadership Program, noted “This partnership with DeVoe School of Business, IWU, is a great synergistic relationship which will both grow the ELO Oxford Leadership Program and add value to the EMBA program and its students. Best of all, at the core, it reflects what is being taught: entrepreneurial thinking!”
Dr. Andy Hughes, Dean, School of Business, Technology & Leadership, noted that “The next generation of executives must be equipped with more than just theoretical knowledge — they need practical, real-world experience, the ability to lead change, and expertise in leveraging AI for organizational success.” Dr. Hughes added, “This EMBAi program was designed with industry feedback at its core, ensuring our graduates are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.” Click HERE for more information on the launch of the EMBA with the Oxford experience.
Dr. Hughes is an exceptional leader and innovator; he is both a practitioner and an academic. He has had senior-level roles in industry often pioneering new programs at the cutting edge of technology. He has brought that spirit of entrepreneurship to IWU.
The EMBA is designed for senior managers, experienced leaders, and aspiring C-suite executives. This 30-credit-hour program integrates business, technology, AI, and leadership through a combination of practical application and faith-based learning. The degree can be completed in less than 18 months and includes a weeklong intensive via the ELO Oxford Leadership Program.
The EMBA is primarily online but includes optional in-person sessions in Indianapolis, with live streaming available for those who cannot attend. The EMBAi’s curriculum emphasizes gaining efficiencies through AI, with embedded AI tools integrated into course content to support learning.
The ELO Oxford Leadership Program is a one-week executive education experience held regularly in Oxford, UK, taught by leading University of Oxford professors. This year’s program is being held from August 10th – 16th, 2025. The Oxford Program is a dynamic and interactive environment with teaching from world-class instructors and from a global and diverse cohort of peers.
This program integrates guest presenters from the University of Oxford and practitioners around the world. This year’s instructors include the following:
- John Lennox, Professor Emeritus, University of Oxford
- Lord Nigel Biggar, Professor Emeritus, University of Oxford
- Chris Kutarna, Instructor, Said Business School, University of Oxford
- Brendan Case, Associate Director for Research for the Harvard Flourishing Program, Harvard's Institute for Quantitative Social Science
- Isabella Bunn, Instructor, Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford
- More instructors are being added.
The ELO Oxford Leadership Program also includes a site visit and meetings with business leaders. In past years we have visited Andrew Edmiston and Lord Robert Edmiston, IM Group and Christian Vision, Birmingham, one hour north of Oxford. We have also visited Jackie and Alan Slough, Owners, Old Bakery Tea Room, in Stow on the Wold.
In addition to world-class instruction, the ambiance of Oxford is inspiring for all participants. The 850-year-old university city with its fabled spires and medieval colleges, along with various other attractions, is truly a sight to behold.
The bottom line is that there is no equivalent to the high-level Christian leadership education provided by the ELO Network which is now embedded in the IWU EMBA program!
