Dr. Peter Chung, Primacorp Ventures, Announced as Speaker for ELO Forum Vancouver

NEWS RELEASE – FEBRUARY 23, 2023

ELO is pleased to announce that Dr. Peter Chung, Founder & Chairman/CEO, Primacorp Ventures, will be speaking at this year’s ELO Forum in Vancouver on November 15 at the Paradox Hotel.

This year’s ELO Forum in Vancouver, with a track record of excellence dating back to 2005, will again feature Christian entrepreneurial leaders making a positive impact in their local and global communities. Dr. Chung is a great example of someone who has spent decades growing a business and supporting various philanthropic initiatives.

Dr. Chung will share his amazing faith and entrepreneurial journey through a Q & A Session with Dr. Richard (Rick) J. Goossen, Chairman, ELO Network. The ELO Forums are well-known for being highly interactive, integrating questions from the audience. These sessions are led by Dr. Goossen, who has interviewed the “who’s who” of the global Christian business world for the past 20 years.

Dr. Peter Chung (Korean name: Moon Hyun) is a Korean-American entrepreneur and philanthropist based in Vancouver, BC. Dr. Chung serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Primacorp Ventures, a large private conglomerate that is active in five divisions including education, real estate, and senior living facilities.

With the mission statement “Changing Lives through Education, Service and Care,” Primacorp Ventures has invested in schools that have grown to become Canada’s largest independent provider of private post-secondary education. With annual enrollments of over 20 thousand, students are given an opportunity to retrain and become productive members of the global community through the market-driven education programs offered under various well-respected and successful school brands.

He holds an Honorary Doctorate in Education from Belhaven University and an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters for his humanitarian work.

As a Christian and philanthropist, Dr. Chung contributes significantly to the community both personally and professionally. Dr. Chung and his wife, Dr. Stephanie Chung, are devoted to supporting charitable organizations and causes that are dear to them. They are deeply involved in their church, their community, and their charities, the Coram Deo Foundation and Joe’s Table Cafe.

The Coram Deo Foundation provides resources to organizations around the world where there is an urgent need for humanitarian aid (including church planting, student ministries, seniors homes, and missionary support). They provided a $250,000 donation to the Vancouver General Hospital’s epilepsy fellowship and $1 million to Surrey Hospitals Foundation for the redesign of a pediatric oncology department. Dr. Chung attributes his charitable values to his Christian faith, quoting Matthew 5:16, KJV: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

They established the Joseph Chung Scholarship Fund, in memory of Dr. Chung’s late son, which has awarded over $5.43 million to university students since 2013. They also established Joe’s Table Cafe, a social enterprise with six global locations that hires people with special needs to work in a supportive coffee shop setting.
