Description:  Every leader is unique, and faces the challenge of planning to maximize their potential for impact over a lifetime. In this session, we'll offer a fresh look at history's most significant life, and see how his approach can transform ours!

People - Bob Shank 2013Bob Shank is Founder/CEO of The Master’s Program, and lives in Newport Beach, CA.  In 1970, Bob’s education transferred from the college classroom to the world of private enterprise when he joined his father-in-law in the family mechanical contracting business. Founded in 1946, the firm was already best-in-class in the region.  Six years later, he was named the EVP/GM and grew Kinney Air Conditioning by 400% in the next five years, becoming the largest player in their niche west of the Mississippi.  During those years, Bob also found growing audiences of business peers who sought his counsel and engaged him as a leadership resource.  Through the sale of two businesses, Bob was freed to pursue what he knew to be his best contribution to leaders when he formed a non-profit enterprise in 1984, committed to helping business leaders make the rest of their life the best of their life.  Bob brings 40+ years of experience – with 35 years of buck stops here responsibility from the corner office – alongside enterprise leaders who are challenged to frame and pursue initiatives that include their business but integrate their roles in their family and their society.  Using descriptors from Gallup’s StrengthFinder technology, Bob’s primary contributions involve his value as a Maximizer (“excellence, not average”), Strategist (“find the best route”) and Arranger (“managing the variables”) with both leaders and their organizations.  He is often the keynote speaker, but through his personal process - The Master’s Program - he has mentored over 1500 leaders from both the for-profit and non-profit sectors since 1997.  His résumé includes appearances for corporate events, association meetings, leadership development enterprises and community gatherings. He serves on 14 boards of directors and is a strategic advisor to leaders in various industries and movements.
