ELO Network Continues Massive Global Impact in 2023! (Part II)

ELO Network had a great year of impact in 2023! Here are 15 highlights from the work of ELO in 2023 (posted as Part I and Part II). We are thankful for our many supporters from around the world. If you are not part of the ELO Network, then we invite you to join the leading community of Christian marketplace and entrepreneurial leaders in the world!

9. There was an amazing lineup of 20 speakers, interviewers, and presenters at the ELO Forums in Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Toronto. Our Forums are one-day conferences held across Canada that bring Christians in business together to connect, learn, and grow. This year's conferences featured a great roster of speakers from a variety of backgrounds and geographical locations, showcasing our commitment to bringing different perspectives and expertise to our attendees. They delivered captivating presentations on a variety of subjects related to leadership, entrepreneurship, and business. Their insights and knowledge enriched the conference experience for all participants. Feedback from attendees included variations of “amazing,” “excellent,” and “inspiring!” Our full list of speakers can be found on our website under Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Toronto, respectively.

10. This year ELO included first-time speakers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Colombia—ELO has now had in-person speakers from throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

11. ELO held five “Leadership Expert Sessions” for its Peer Advisory Group members and sponsors by these speakers covering the following topics:

    1. Wayne Alguire on “Spiritual Index: Monitoring the Ultimate ROI”
    2. David Zietsma on “Christian Crisis Management in a Post-Christian Culture”
    3. Steve French on “Development of a Leadership Team in Christian Businesses”
    4. Gary Lindblad on “A Lifetime in Leadership: How to Overcome the Five Biggest Challenges Facing Every Organization”
    5. Daniel Whitehead on “Understanding the Mental Health of People & Organizations”

12. The ELO Peer Advisory Group network includes site visits and unique experiences. For example, one notable experience was to visit with Chief Clarence Louie, Osoyoos Indian Band in Osoyoos, BC.

13. The ELO Oxford Leadership Program, first launched in 2018, continues to flourish as the leading program of its kind, with this year’s offering from July 7th – 13th.

14. The ELO podcast provided 16 podcasts covering various topics. Our podcast is dedicated to exploring the world of business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. With relevant discussions, expert interviews, and valuable insights, we provide knowledge and inspiration for experienced business professionals. Whether you're looking to enhance your leadership skills, gain more strategic understanding, or simply stay updated on the latest trends and success stories, our podcast is a must-listen. Find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Google and join in on this journey as we dive into the realms of business and entrepreneurship, offering valuable stories and insights from a great roster of expert presenters and practitioners. 

15. The ELO blog focuses on “entrepreneurship, leadership, and meaning.” This year ELO provided 61 blog posts covering relevant books, leaders, and events. These posts aimed to inspire and educate readers, offering valuable insights and perspectives on various aspects of meaning-driven entrepreneurship, leadership, and flourishing as one pursues their calling. We covered topics such as AI, leadership development, entrepreneurial lessons, and management insights. ELO also reviewed books from authors John Lennox, Brad Pedersen, David Brooks, Patrick Lencioni, and Marcus Buckingham to name a few. Stories were covered on leaders such as Ray Loewen, Phil Knight, Chief Louie, and Phil Cooke. A list of our most popular blog posts will be revealed in January 2024.
