Jim Pang, Hong Kong SAR, China
Jim Pang is currently the managing director of Elisha Vessels Capital Ltd., a corporate finance advisory firm specialized in assisting both private and publicly listed companies to execute their strategies through mergers & acquisitions, spin-off for public listings and divesture through privatizations. Mr. Pang was the former CFO of Royale Furniture Holdings Ltd., a publicly listed firm at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (1198.HK).
He is the former director of direct investment at the Kingsway Group, a Hong Kong listed investment bank where he invested in Mundoro (MUN.TO), one of the first handful of gold ventures in China listed overseas; before that, he was the corporate treasurer leading the Chinadotcom group of companies for listing at Nasdaq (CHINA) and Hong Kong (8006.HK); he was also responsible for investing in numerous TMT investments like Asiainfo (ASIA) and Shanda Interactive (SNDA); and finally, he was the corporate financial controller of China Strategic Holdings Ltd. responsible for taking over of Tricom Telecom, the predecessor of PCCW of Hong Kong (0008.HK) before its merger with Hong Kong Telecom in 2000.
Mr. Pang is currently a FCPA at the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2009 and he has been a Canadian chartered accountant since 1986.
He received his MBA degree from the University of Windsor, Canada and his undergraduate degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. In his free time Mr. Pang has been leading Christian men in small groups (Men ‘s Fraternity/Fellowship) at his Hong Kong church, Island ECC since 2009.
